Fair use guidelines for use and reference of ISASO, LLC trademarks

ISASO, LLC "trademarks" include the ISASO, LLC insignia logo and other designs owned and used by ISASO, LLC (collectively referred to herein as "logos"), as well as ISASO, LLC product and service names (collectively referred to herein as "product names"). ISASO, LLC takes great care in the development and protection of its trademarks and reserves all rights of ownership of its trademarks.

Use of ISASO, LLC logos

ISASO, LLC carefully limits the use of its logos. No other company may use ISASO, LLC logos unless it has the express written permission of ISASO, LLC, or is licensed by ISASO, LLC to do so.

To obtain permission to use any ISASO, LLC logo, contact your ISASO, LLC representative or the ISASO, LLC Call Center at 1-888-ISASO-GO (1-888-472-7646) and ask for Corporate Branding.

Fair use of ISASO, LLC product names

"Fair use" of trademarks allows third parties to make reference (text ONLY) to ISASO, LLC product names. The following guidelines are published to ensure proper use and reference to ISASO, LLC product names.

While fair use allows use of or reference to ISASO, LLC product names, it is necessary that the usage be truthful, not disparaging to ISASO, LLC, and does not mislead the public. You must be clear and accurate as to the nature of the relationship between ISASO, LLC, and you, and or your company, its products or services.

Following are two common types of fair use:

Use of ISASO, LLC product names by third parties is allowed by ISASO, LLC without permission or license when specifically referring to ISASO, LLC products. Example: ISASO, LLC CallBlocker software is a voice infrastructure add-on.
Use of ISASO, LLC product names by third parties is allowed by ISASO, LLC without permission or license when indicating that an ISASO, LLC product is compatible with another product.

Please note that the emphasis should be on your product name and any accompanying packaging produced by your company. Labeling should place emphasis on your product name so that it is perceived as an application, developed with, compatible or running on an ISASO, LLC product).

General rules for proper reference to ISASO, LLC product names

Following are general rules for proper usage of product names:

The first use of each ISASO, LLC product name mentioned in communications must be identified in a footnote or attribution. The attribution must be located either on the page/screen where the ISASO, LLC product name is used, or in the legal section of the communication or site in which it is referenced. Please note that laws concerning use of trademarks or product names vary by country. Always consult a local attorney for additional guidance.
In the United States, the first reference in text to all ISASO, LLC product names should be preceded by ISASO, LLC and followed by the proper trademark symbol. The proper symbol for registered product names is %reg;. The proper symbol for product names which are the subject of pending applications or are used in accordance with common law trademark principles is ™.
A product name should be used as an adjective qualifying a noun that is a generic description of the product or service. The product name should also be used in a singular form.
Example: The CallBlocker software family includes 3 products with multiple licensing options…
Do not change the form or representation of the product name, including capitalization or punctuation.

Use of "ISASO, LLC" as a company name

"ISASO, LLC", the ten letters in text, is a trademark (product name) of ISASO, LLC. "ISASO", the five letters in text, is a trademark (product name) of ISASO, LLC. References used to identify the company ISASO, LLC should include the entire ten letters "ISASO, LLC". It is not permissible to use ISASO as a possessive even if you are referring to ISASO, LLC the company. In that case the name does identify goods or services (which are legally the domain of trademarks).

Incorrect use of ISASO, LLC trademarks

Do not omit a footnote/attribution for ISASO, LLC trademarks.
Do not alter the approved ISASO, LLC trademark.
Do not create any new logo for ISASO, LLC or ISASO, LLC product names.
Do not incorporate any ISASO, LLC product names into your company's product names.
Do not incorporate any ISASO, LLC product names into the root domain of any Web site owned by your company.
Do not misspell or use lower case letters when using the name ISASO, LLC in text.

Other company, product, or service names may be trademarks or service marks of others. The use of the word partner does not imply a partnership relationship between ISASO, LLC and any other company.
